A great opportunity for illustrators and illustration-lovers (I'm talking to you, designers!). The Illustration Conference (ICON) is heading to Los Angeles this year. And you can still join for the Early Bird Special. Purchase before May 31st and save! And, to boot, the attendance is already larger than the last 3 conferences—so there's sure to be plenty of old friends and new faces.
Creative Quarterly will attending and we hope to see you there!

AIGA Design Journeys
Last night we attended the opening of AIGA’s Design Journeys: You Are Here. It was a lively opening, with guests interacting with the exhibit. The Design Journey project celebrates “the achievements of 25 selected practitioners, but also encouraging aspiring designers from all backgrounds to consider design as a viable and rewarding career. The resulting show, an interactive exhibition open to the public,” will be on display through July 23.
One of the people included in this project is illustrator/design/artist Edel Rodriguez. Interviewed by CQ’s design director Charles Hively, Edel shared his design journey.
