Even though Gutenberg created a wonderful new technology, it doesn’t mean that he created an industry. This article in the Boston Globe looks at the early years of printing presses and how they made money (hint: it wasn’t by printing books).

App Round-Up
Sadly our App knowledge doesn't extend much beyond Angry Birds, but we have seen a couple great apps launched in the past few weeks that deserve a download.
First up: Plates! by talented illustrator Kyle T. Webster. Kyle follows up his minimalist White Lines with a colorful and invigorating exercise in choosing condiments.
Second: For those of you who want to test your knowledge, there’s Scott Fisk’s Graphic Design Quiz. Great fun, although it would be even better if you could see what the correct answer. This quiz will be free for a limited time.
You can buy both these apps on iTunes.

Logo in Motion
A mesmerizing piece of art commisioned by London’s V&A museum and produced by Troika.
The piece, titled Palindrome, was recently installed in a near-by Tube station. I would easily miss my train, being so entranced by the work.
It’s also great to see an institution be willing to play with their logo as well.
